– 8 ounces American Heritage Chocolate Tablet Bar or Tasting Squares, chopped – 1/4 cup butter – 2 large eggs – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 3/4 cup almond flour – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1 cup confectioners’ sugar

First steps

First, melt the chocolate and butter.  Next, beat the eggs and sugar at high speed until fluffy and pale. Then gradually add melted chocolate and vanilla, beating until combined.

Next Steps

In a separate bowl, prepare your dry ingredients: almond meal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the dry mixture to the chocolate mixture, beating just until combined. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until firm, 1 to 2 hours.

Scoop the dough into balls using a medium spring-loaded scoop. Roll each ball in confectioners’ sugar, place on baking sheets, and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
