Copycat Starbuck Cranberry Orange Scones Recipe

These homemade scones are perfectly tender, crumbly, and loaded with lots of yummy orange and cranberry flavors. A drizzle of fresh orange glaze is the perfect finishing touch.

INGREDIENTS

– All-purpose flour – Baking powder – Granulated sugar – Salt – Cold unsalted butter – Heavy cream – Sour cream – Large egg – Vanilla extract – Orange extract – Orange zest – Craisins (chewy dried cranberries – Powdered sugar – Fresh orange juice)

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO EAT SCONES?

A freshly baked warm scone – or even a chilled or room temp scone – is delightful with a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa. And they are perfect to serve as a kid-friendly breakfast treat with a big glass of milk!

These flaky scones will keep well for up to 5 days when stored at room temperature. I recommend storing them in a reusable box-type container that has an airtight lid. But be sure that there is enough room to put the lid on without smushing and smearing the orange glaze.
