Ever since they opened The Hollow Tree Factory in 1968, the Keebler Elves have been busy making all sorts of goodies. But over the last four years or so, it appears that they have been putting in some overtime in the Flavor Department when it comes to their classic Fudge Stripes cookies.
I don’t know if you have noticed, but the Keebler Elves have baked up over a dozen limited batch Fudge Stripes cookie flavors just over the last four years or so. They obviously got bored making the same flavor over and over and over again. Who can blame them? They made an executive decision to join the flavor game. And we are all thankful.
I wonder how they decide which flavor to concoct next? Do they have a meeting of the Elves where they all take a vote? I think this piece of the puzzle will always remain a mystery, but let’s go over the flavors that have made their way to the market and approximately when they were released.

Okay, so here is where they really starting cranking out the new flavors. Instead of two limited batch flavors a year, they started releasing around four or five new flavors per year. The head elf, Ernest, must have been feeling some pressure from other cookie brands.

Whoopsy! #FullyFudged and #FullyFudged Cookies & Creme
We can’t forget to mention the Whoopsy! Fudge Stripes #FullyFudged cookies that were released as well. The Elves kind of threw us for a loop with these. I can only imagine the buzz in The Hollow Tree when one of the Elves mistakenly covered an entire Fudge Stripes cookie with fudge instead of stripes. He probably thought he would be in big trouble when the boss found out, but instead he was celebrated for creating such a tasty treat.
Of course, we consumers are thankful for the mistake, too. And then when they released the Whoopsy! Fudge Stripes #FullyFudged Cookies & Creme it was like icing on the cake. Neither Whoopsy! are marked as limited batch, so I am assuming both flavors are permanent. I wonder if they will start releasing limited edition flavors of the Whoopsy! cookies, too? Only time will tell.
Released Summer of 2018
Unicorn Fudge Stripes
New in 2019 are Unicorn Fudge Stripes which are described on the package as vanilla cupcake-flavored stripes. The taste and texture are very similar to the very delicious Birthday Cake Fudge Stripes. Almost identical actually.
I just can’t figure out why they didn’t make these extra magical with some colored cookies and icing like they did with the blue and pink Vanilladons ( the Limited Edition Jurassic Park cookies mentioned above). I mean really, if you don’t have pink, blue and purple frosting, can you even call yourself a unicorn!?
Released January of 2019
Where can I find these Fudge Stripe flavors?
Now that you have seen the many limited batch flavors that have been released over the last few years, you may be asking yourself the question above. I have some good news and some bad news. Let’s start with the bad news. Some of these flavors are currently unavailable. But have no fear, I found that quite a few of them are available through Amazon. They include: Dark Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Caramel, Birthday Cake (my personal favorite), Pumpkin Spice, Cookies and Creme, Whoopsy! #FullyFudged Cookies & Creme, Strawberry Cheesecake and Cinnamon Roll. And let/s not forget Original!
I can’t wait to see what flavor the Keebler Elves come up with next! Have you tried any of the limited batch flavors mentioned above? We want to hear from you! Let us know your thoughts below.
This isn’t our first time discussing cookies
Ever tried Walmart’s Twist & Shout cookies? They give Oreo a run for their money. But we love Oreo, too. Check out our reviews of Rocky Road Trip, Chocolate Peanut Butter Oreo Pie and Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake. And you won’t want to miss the Nestle Toll House 2018 Cookie of the Year. So delicious!
