I have been excited about the Limited Edition Strawberry Shortcake Oreo flavor ever since we saw them on display at the Sweets and Snacks Expo in May. When I noticed on Instagram that they had been spotted in stores earlier this week, I couldn’t wait to give them a try.
When I took a trip to my local Walmart this morning, I didn’t have high hopes of finding them. Our Walmart is notorious for not getting new products for weeks after they are released.
Can you believe that they never got the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Oreo OR the Pistachio Oreo in stock?! At least not yet. My husband and I were just finishing our shopping trip when he spotted them. Thank goodness he did. I had passed them right up. There was a tiny rack of them in the refrigerated aisle near the yogurt. It was like they were trying to hide them!
Of course, I dug in right when I got home! I could smell the strawberry shortcake immediately after opening the package. When I took my first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, the taste is spot on.
They really do taste like the Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Dessert Bars. The filling is creamy and the cookie even had little cake bits baked in. I was immediately brought back to my childhood days of running outside when the ice cream truck came down the street during the summer.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend this new limited edition flavor. Oreo has released some questionable flavors over the last few years, however, this is one of the good ones. I have already eaten five cookies while writing this review…time to go put them back in the cabinet.
Would I buy it again: Yes! They are one of the better limited edition flavors that has been released by Oreo.
Would I eat it again if offered to me? Definitely!

I love hunting for new snacks and I am always excited to share my finds! Here are a few fun food facts about me. I eat cereal without milk. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I eat one almost everyday for lunch and have done so for the majority of my life. I will try anything claiming to be “Birthday Cake” flavored. I will never pass on a cupcake. When I am not snacking, I am either sleeping, working, watching TV or burning off my snacking calories.
