Instructions

Begin by preheating the oven to 375°F.

Take the cream cheese out of the fridge to reach room temperature for easier mixing.

In a medium bowl, crush the freeze-dried strawberries and combine with the granulated sugar. If desired, you can also add cinnamon to the mixture as well.

Unroll the Crescent dough sheet on your work surface. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.

Strawberry Rolls Recipe Steps

Sprinkle the strawberry sugar mixture generously across the dough. Then carefully roll up the dough as tight as you can. This will help your rolls keep their shape when baking and prevent them from unraveling and/or expanding too much.

Strawberry Rolls Recipe Rolling Step

Using a serrated knife or baker’s twine, cut the dough roll into about 1.5-2″ segments.

Strawberry Rolls Recipe Cutting Step

Grease an oven-safe baking dish and place the rolls inside. Make sure to leave room between the rolls so they have room to expand during baking.

Pour the heavy cream over the dough. This helps lock in moisture resulting in soft, fluffy rolls.

Strawberry Rolls Recipe Dough

Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown, then remove from the oven.

While the rolls are cooling, begin making the glaze. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Mix on a low speed until the glaze is smooth and well combined.

If necessary, adjust the consistency by adding more heavy cream, one teaspoon at a time, and mixing thoroughly after each addition.
