3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or paste
1 teaspoon strawberry extract
3 drops pink food coloring

Tips, Tricks & Substitutions

Adjust Consistency: If the glaze is too thick, add a little more milk, one teaspoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency. If the glaze is too thin, you can add more powdered sugar to thicken it.

Use Real Strawberries: Not a fan of using extract? To use real fruit, simple puree a handful of fresh strawberries and strain the mixture to remove seeds. Use this strawberry puree as a substitute for both the extract, part of the milk and the food coloring.

Natural Food Coloring: If you prefer to avoid food coloring you can use strawberry powder or fresh strawberry puree.

Boost The Flavor: Try adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a pinch of lemon zest. This will brighten the flavor and the citrus complements the sweetness of the strawberry.

Play With Flavor Combinations: Experiment with different extracts to create unique flavor combinations. Try using almond extract for a hint of nuttiness. Or try lemon extract for strawberry lemonade flavor!

Storage: Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week. Before using, allow the glaze to come to room temperature and give it a quick stir to restore its consistency.
