Kickin’ Crackers

Kickin’ Crackers

If you are looking for a quick and easy snack recipe for your next party, these Kickin’ Crackers are sure to be a crowd pleaser.

I first came across this recipe on Pinterest. I was desperate to find a quick and easy snack to bring to a family party. Per usual, I waited until the last minute to figure out what I was going to bring. I am not the type to spend hours in the kitchen whipping up an elaborate side dish to share at a family party. I’ll leave that up to my four sister-in-law’s who are much more capable. To my surprise, the crackers ended up being a hit and were especially enjoyed by the spicy snack lovers.

Ingredients For Kickin’ Crackers

There are only 4 simple ingredients for this recipe!

1.) Canola Oil

2.) Crushed Red Pepper

3.) Saltines

4.) Hidden Valley The Original Ranch Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix

Note: There was one occasion where I substituted the saltines with RITZ crackers. Because RITZ crackers are buttery, after a day or so, the crackers seemed to soften up too much and their texture became a bit spongy.

Tips For Making The Easiest Party Snack

  • Be sure to take the time to thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together. You want everything to be as evenly distributed as possible
  • Gently mix the ingredients in a large bowl. You don’t want the crackers to break into a bunch of smaller pieces. A smaller bowl may make the mixing process more difficult.

I love hunting for new snacks and I am always excited to share my finds! Here are a few fun food facts about me. I eat cereal without milk. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I eat one almost everyday for lunch and have done so for the majority of my life. I will try anything claiming to be “Birthday Cake” flavored. I will never pass on a cupcake. When I am not snacking, I am either sleeping, working, watching TV or burning off my snacking calories.
