Cute Halloween Oreo Bat Cupcakes

These adorable Oreo Bat Cupcakes are a quick and easy way to sweeten up your Halloween parties! Starting with chocolate cupcakes topped with chocolate frosting, each transforms into a spooky treat with Oreo cookies bats with candy eyeballs for an extra dose of cuteness.

Halloween Bat Cupcakes Recipe

This recipe is for 12 cupcakes, but if you have 24 cupcakes (from a mix or homemade recipe) you can easily make more bat decorations. You’ll just need to make sure you have plenty of Oreos and candy eyeballs.

Ingredients

• 12 chocolate cupcakes
  • These can be store-bought, from a cake mix or from a homemade chocolate cupcake recipe.
• 18 – 20 Oreo cookies
• Candy eyeballs (you can find these on Amazon.)
• Chocolate frosting
  • You can use store-bought frosting or try our homemade chocolate frosting recipe.

Instructions

Prepare your chocolate cupcakes. These can be store-bought, from a cake mix or from a scratch recipe like this one.

Next, create the Oreo bat decorations. Twist an Oreo to pull the two cookies apart. Cut the top cookie (without the filling on it) in half to make the “wings”. Then press the wings into the white filling on the bottom half of the cookie.

Twist apart another cookie. Put a small amount of that cookie’s filling on top of the inner center portion of the bat wings. Put a top cookie on the bat wings and gently press together.

Put a small amount of white filling on the back of two eyeballs to make the bat’s face.

Repeat the above process until 12 bats are made. Finish the cupcakes by piping the chocolate frosting and topping with an Oreo bat decoration.
