This recipe makes about 12 thick treat bars. If you want thinner treats, you can cut the recipe in half.

Ingredients

  • 1 family-size box Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal (18.8 ounces)
    • You can substitute other brands of similar cereal.
  • 2 10-ounce bags mini marshmallows
  • 1 stick butter
  • Cooking spray

Items Needed

  • 9×13 baking dish
  • Extra large mixing bowl

PRO TIP: If you don’t have a big enough bowl, you can make half of the recipe at a time and layer it on top of each other in the pan.

Directions

  1. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Pour the marshmallows into an extra-large microwave-safe mixing bowl.
  3. Cut the butter into about 8 smaller squares and evenly distribute it into the bowl as well.
  4. Keeping a close eye, microwave the marshmallow/butter mixture for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or until the marshmallows have risen near the top of the bowl. All microwaves are different, so times may vary. Be careful not to overheat.
  5. Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and stir until no chunks of butter or marshmallow are visible. If needed, return it to the microwave for 10 seconds at a time until smooth.
  6. Place the Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the bowl and very quickly, but gently, stir until all of the cereal is coated in the marshmallow mixture.
  7. Place the cereal and marshmallow mixture into the prepared pan and press gently until you have an even layer. If desired, you can lightly spray your hands with cooking spray so the gooey cereal mixture won’t stick!
  8. Let the treats rest for 1 hour or until set. Cut and enjoy!

To store, place your treats in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Do not freeze or store them in the fridge or the treats will get soggy.
