Simple Strawberry Fudge Recipe

Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 3 Minutes
Chill Time: 4 Hours
Yields about 16 one-inch squares

Ingredient List
16-ounce can strawberry frosting
12-ounce strawberry-flavored pink candy melts
1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8″x8″ pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Place your candy melts in a medium mixing bowl and microwave for 2 minutes. Pause every 30 seconds to stir so the melts don’t burn or overcook. When the candy melts are totally melted and smooth, move on to the next step.
  3. Remove the lid and ALL OF THE FOIL from the strawberry frosting. Microwave for one minute. You can also transfer the frosting into a microwave-safe bowl if you don’t want to microwave the frosting container.
  4. Pour the melted frosting into the bowl with the melted chocolate and stir until fully combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Tap the pan on the counter to remove any bubbles.
  6. Place the pan in the refrigerator to chill for up to 4 hours or until set. Cut into 1-inch pieces, serve, and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

  1. You can use a 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk in place of the frosting, but you won’t have a strong strawberry flavor. If you choose to use the milk, you’ll need to add about 4-6 ounces more of the strawberry candy melts.
  2. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and in the freezer for up to 3 months. After removing from the fridge or freezer, let the fudge warm up a bit or it will be a little hard.
  3. After cutting the fudge, don’t leave it out in the open for too long or it will dry up quickly.
  4. If you can’t find strawberry-flavored candy melts, you can use pink candy melts and add a ½ teaspoon of strawberry extract to the frosting before pouring it into the melted chocolate.
  5. Depending on the brand of your candy melts, finished colors will vary.
